ROAD & HIGHWAY

Geometric design:
The geometric design of the road shall satisfy the minimum criteria for road standard laid down in Arahan Teknik (Jalan) 8/86 (Pindaan 2015)- “A Guide to Geometric Design of Road”. The design of the road alignment was carried out with the laid of a road design software namely MXROAD VERSION 2.6 (formerly known as MOSS).

Pavement design:
All pavements shall designed in accordance with Arahan Teknik (Jalan) 5/85 (Pindaan 2013) – “Manual for The Structural Design of Flexible Pavement” or any other method, which has been approved by JKR. The design life based year as well as the cumulative equivalent standard axles designed for, shall be written on the pavement plan.

Traffic Management Plan:
All traffic management plans (TMP) shall be implemented to cater for the uninterrupted traffic flow and safety of the road user during construction period. The preparation of the traffic management plans and diversions shall adopt JKR Arahan Teknik (Jalan) 2C/85 (Pindaan 2016). The provision of traffic control signs and devices shall be accordance with the guideline.

Road furniture:
Traffic control devices and road side furniture such as directional and traffic sign, lane and pavement markings and traffic safety barrier such as NJB or guardrail etc shall provided in accordance with Arahan Teknik (Jalan) 2D/85 ATJ 2E/87 (Pindaan 2011), REAM-GL8/2004 and REAM-GL9/2006.
