The main purpose of this project is to allow direct connectivity between Lebuhraya Sungai Besi and Lebuhraya Baru Pantai which was initially scheduled to compl eted at the same time with the Lebuhraya Baru Pantai but was subsequently deffered due to unforeseen circumstances. As there is a need to revive the project as the capacity of the existing at-grade connection has beed exceeded.
